Want to make a difference in a child’s life?
Childcare volunteering is the best way to do something for our children. It is the perfect medium to help kids in the childcare program. Childcare gets you directly involved with fun activities that nurture children and helps in developing their bright minds.
Hours: Various mornings, afternoons and evenings throughout the week.
Trouble Sleeping?
We are currently looking for Overnight Supervisors to assist at our Community Inns around Calgary. Overnight Supervisors work in teams of two and are required to provide supervision and support to our guests throughout their designated overnight shift. Overnight Supervisors work directly with guests and must maintain the confidentiality of personal information should they be privy to it. Duties include: performing routine spot checks in the evening and assisting guests with various needs during the night. At some Inns, duties may include laundry or preparing lunches.
Hours: 9pm - 5am, any day of the week

Inn from the Cold is looking for volunteers to visit the shelter on Saturday or Sunday mornings to prepare and serve a hot breakfast to our guests. This opportunity lasts from 7:00 am to approximately 11:00 am. Teams of 6-10 volunteers are encouraged to join us. This is an excellent opportunity for groups to get out, enjoy each other’s company and meet a few of our guests at the Inn. In an effort to manage our expenses, we are asking volunteer groups to either pay for the ingredients required for this service or bring their own foodstuffs.
Approximate cost is $150 for up to 80 family members
Special Events Volunteer
Join our corps of events volunteers, and help us promote the Inn! This opportunity suits outgoing personalities who like to work with people and have exceptional organizational skills.
Hours: vary, depending on the event
