The Heart of the Inn
Our volunteers are vital to making our work in the community possible. In 2010, more than 72,000 hours were contributed by over 3,200 devoted volunteers.
Throughout the year, volunteers of all ages spend time preparing and serving meals for our guests at various Inn locations across the city, including the Emergency Family Shelter. Volunteers also provide much needed support to facility projects, special events, and child care just to name a few.
Each and every volunteer that lends time and assistance to the shelter makes an invaluable difference to Inn from the Cold and the lives of homeless Calgary families.
We are currently recruiting for:
- Child Care
- Weekend Breakfast Service
- Emergency Overnighters (at our Community Inns)
- Special Events
- Dinner Hosts
