Our guests come from all walks of life. They have different stories to tell and different reasons for becoming homeless. Many have jobs, others go to school. Some are battling addictions or have recently moved to Calgary. Some are young babies or children, while others are moms, dads or grandparents. Whatever their story, whatever the reason, one common fact unites them: homelessness can happen to anyone.
Many people are simply one paycheque away from becoming homeless and all it takes is a change in circumstance – such as a job layoff, illness or the break-up of a family unit – to lose their home.
